Inspired by the body of a sea snail, while utilizing natural colors found in living sea life, she constructed her version of a coral reef ecosystem. With the temperatures continuously rising, the impact is visible underwater. Coral bleaching is a byproduct of this phenomenon. The once-pigmented ecosystem that so many species depend upon is becoming lifelessly colorless. Using various pile heights, cuts and loops, and hues, Henthorne created an organic multichromatic tufted sea ecological community.
